The approximately 800 EMFA-EVENT subscribers will be moved to 
the EMFA-ANNOUNCE e-mail list as described in the initial 
subscribe confirmation.  EMFA-ANNOUNCE will be used for periodic 
announcements from the Markle Foundation's E-Mail for All 
effort.

I have started work on the "Internet Policy and Development 
Directory" that will describe many of the key online news 
sources, forums, and newsletters.  It will not be finished for a 
few weeks.  So if you don't do anything you will receive it on 
the EMFA-ANNOUNCE list this summer.

If you _do not_ want to be on the low volume announcement 
e-mail list (with only a few messages each month), you should 
unsubscribe from EMFA-EVENT after the final "Thank You" message 
later today.  Next week we will transfer all remaining 
subscribers to the other list.  You will be able to unsubscribe 
from EMFA-ANNOUNCE at any time.

To UNSUBSCRIBE from EMFA-EVENT, send an e-mail message to:

     majordomo@publicus.net

In the message body, write:

     unsubscribe emfa-event

You need to unsubscribe from the exact address under which you 
are subscribed.  Sometimes extra domain bits confuse the 
Majordomo server.  You can try unsubscribing yourself via the 
web form and it will confirm your signoff if it finds your exact
address.  Visit the form on the web at:

     http://www.iaginteractive.com/emfa/un-lists.htm

Once you have tried both options and failed, then feel free to 
ask for help via e-mail:  emfa@publicus.net

If for some reason you receive an EMFA announcement that you 
shouldn't, please send us another help message.
