More EMFA-EVENT Details:

All subscribers to EMFA-EVENT will be transfered to our low volume announcement e-mail list - EMFA-ANNOUNCE - after May 15. You do not need to join both lists. During this event, EMFA-ANNOUNCE is geared toward web-only readers of the Unviersal Access Conversation message archive.

Messages to EMFA-EVENT should be under 500 words in length, text-only with no more than 70 characters per line, signed with your full name, e-mail address, and where you are from. Include a short paragraph introducing yourself with your first submission.

Only 5 to 15 posts will be sent each weekday from Monday, May 4 through Monday, May 15. Similar messages may be combined into digest postings and not all messages will be accepted. This event is designed for wide participation among a very large and diverse group.

Depending upon the volume of submissions, we may limit the number of overall postings contributed each week by any one group or individual in order to ensure wide-spread participation. We encourage those who prefer the free flow aspect of unmoderated forums to help us build the directory below as well as to take the themes from this event to the scores on online forums around the Internet interested in these topics.

Continuing the Conversation

Many of you found out about this event through other e-mail lists where discussions related to the event themes occur every day. The Universal Access Conversation represents a unique "value-added" moment in time where the participants from a number forums that often have quite differing perspectives can share their knowledge and experience.  We are compiling a list of e-mail discussion lists and other online forums for release during the event. At a minimum we help build the audiencse of ongoing forums without recreating the wheel and hopefully conversations started here will continue.

Please use the end of the submission form to send us details on online forums you would like to see in the "Internet Policy and Community Discussion Directory."
